Catalina Urban Water Management

Client : Tamala Park Regional Counci

Catalina is a new masterplanned community at Tamala Park providing a unique urban position on Perth’s northern beaches 30 minutes drive north of the CBD. Some 8,000 residents will ultimately call Catalina home, including around 2,600 homesites.

An Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) was prepared by Hyd2o on behalf of the Tamala Regional Council to support the first stages of development (Stages 1-6) in accordance with subdivision conditions for the site.

The UWMP was developed consistent with the guidelines provided in the Western Australian Planning Commission’s Better Urban Water Management publication, and an approval successfully negotiated with the City of Wanneroo and Department of Water within a constrained timeframe to meet construction objectives.
